Make 2017 your BEST year yet

Do you believe in new year's resolutions? I have always been one to set very detailed goals from my spiritual life to finances, relationships, career etc. As i reflected on 2016 i realised i did achieve most of my goals however i think i was a little too uptight and need to loosen up a little. Then i thought to myself.. WAIT.. Nicole you are turning 27 this year and
still quite far from what you want to have achieved by 30. It suddenly hit me that i have only 3 years to put certain things into place and at the same time i really want to enjoy this year and sort of just let things flow.

I have put together 4 things i am going to do (actually in the midst of doing) to strike a balance between working towards my goals and having a fun filled year, and decided to share with you all.

Get Organised
The end of the year, beginning of a new year is a perfect time to get rid of what no longer serves you. From relationships, wardrobe to kitchen fridge etc. Clear your email, rearrange your space, get new linen, put away old notebooks, delete unused apps and old WhatsApp chats on your phone. Declutter your life and set yourself up for success!

Create a Morning Routine
The morning is the most important part of ones day in my opinion. Whatever we do first when we wake up sets the tone of how the rest of the day will be & that ultimately shapes our successes or failures. I have personally noticed that when i have a morning routine i experience more success and am happier because i have taken the time to pray, have breakfast & do other things i incorporate in my morning routine. Check out my morning routine here. Think about what will work for you and make it a daily routine.

Create a Vision
In life we cannot just float, we need to have visions that we work towards. Remember where there is no vision, the people perish. So... if you have not, think about one major thing you want to do or achieve this year then set smaller objectives to help you achieve that major vision. Last year i had fun making a vision board, where i pasted pictures, words from magazines that reflect what i wanted my year to be and most if not all of them did come true (including small things like the perfume i talked about in my last post, that was on my 2016 vision board!). I am currently back home in Zimbabwe on holiday however when i get back to Malaysia i plan on making another vision board for 2017.

Say in your Lane
Basically, mind your own business. Live your life and do not focus on what is happening in the next persons life. Time and chance happen to us all so wait on God and quit comparing yourself to those around you. Don't get me wrong, it is good to get inspiration and be motivated however  let it end at inspiration and not grow into something else.

Wishing us all a blessed year. May God direct our paths and His grace and mercy go before us.
NEVER stop growing!

Love X Blessings,
Nyasha Nicole.

  15. Love this! There is so much truth in this post. I have learnt that everything happens for a reason and life will happen how it will but we can do our best to plan and put things in place to help ourselves
